Seminar: Fundamentals of Prayer Ministry
Have you ever felt called to pray for others but have felt awkward and untrained? Prayer ministry in teams of two or three can be a powerful tool God uses to bring comfort, healing, and liberation, but often we don’t really know how to proceed.
On Aug. 28, Dr. James Kearny of Dunamis Ministries, an arm of Presbyterian and Reformed Ministries International, will be coming to West Side to lead a special seminar on the Fundamentals of Prayer Ministry. This will be a hands-on seminar with practicum. Dr. Kearny is an ordained Presbyterian minister and church planter with years of experience in the area of prayer ministry. He leads seminars throughout the Pacific Northwest and is an engaging speaker.
If you are a leader in ministry, a counselor, an Alpha helper, a small group leader, a Sunday school teacher, or simply someone with a heart to reach out to people around you in prayer, this seminar is for you. Dr. Kearny will bring teaching born of years of experience. It is a powerful ministry. As our church reaches out into our neighborhood, we need the input and help this teaching can provide. Please reserve the date on your calendar today.
The Fundamentals of Prayer Ministry is open to anyone interested throughout the Tri-Cities. Refreshments and child care will be provided. This special presentation will be Wed., Aug. 28, 6:30 pm, WS North Sanctuary (615 Wright Ave-Richland). Please contact the church if you have child care needs including the ages of your children.
Dr. Kearny earned a BA in American History from Yale University, a BFA Cum Laude in Acting from Cornish College of the Arts and a Master of Divinity and a Doctor of Ministry from Columbia Theological Seminary.
He and his wife live in Seattle and have four grown sons: a pastor, a sports writer, a film maker, and a sound engineer.
