Bible Study – “All the Stories of the Bible” – begins Jan. 13, 2019

We will be taking a look at how God’s story and our story come together. We will be using the book, “All the Stories of the Bible,” by John Walsh as well as material from and the Old Testament between Genesis and 1 Samuel. All are welcome to join this class.


Women of the Word
WS North Library – Room 6 (615 Wright Ave-Richland)
Facilitators: Marian Holm, Diane Pratt, and Colleen Yahyaoui

We will be meeting informally for fellowship and prayer in January 2019 (our facilitators are taking a break). We will resume a more structured class on Sun., Feb. 3, 2019. Women of all ages are welcome to join the class.


GAP – Getting Acquainted Place
WS North Room 7 (615 Wright Ave-Richland)
Facilitators: Fred & Pat Reich and Roger & Carol Johnson

The GAP gathering serves as a relaxed place to meet and get acquainted with others in our West Side Church family – some who have recently started visiting and some who have been members of our family for decades! We enjoy personal sharing with one another and typically read and discuss a Bible-based book. All are invited to step into and experience Christian community with us in The GAP. We look forward to getting to know you!




ESL/Citizenship Classes (Sept.-May)
6:30-8:00 pm – WS South all rooms (603 Wright Ave-Richland)
Facilitator: Marion Dowell

We offer classes ranging from beginning to advanced English language study as well as a citizenship class for those who are considering becoming American citizens. We start with students where they are and help them become more proficient in English. We work with all students in reading, writing and conversation. The classes and childcare are free.


Coffee with the Bible
8:30 am – Coffee and Refreshments     9:00-10:00 am – Bible Study (WS North Cafe/Sanctuary – 615 Wright Ave-Richland)

Join us at 8:30 am for coffee and refreshments followed by a Bible study at 9:00 am as we journey through the book of Isaiah together. All are welcome.

Moms in Prayer
10:15-11:15 am – WS North Library – Room 6 (615 Wright Ave-Richland)

Moms in Prayer is an international, non-denominational Christian organization that seeks to gather women to pray together for children and schools including teachers and those who touch the next generation.

Women’s Sarah Circle
2nd Wednesday – 11:30 am-1:30 pm – WS North Narthex (615 Wright Ave-Richland)

Come share a luncheon and fellowship with other women. We present interesting educational programs and support various local, national and international mission causes. Women of all ages are welcome!



Women’s Morning Glory Bible Study
9:00-11:00 am – WS North Room 2-4 (615 Wright Ave-Richland)
Facilitators: Ann Forsythe, Patty Wilburn, Joan Swinth

Come enjoy a Bible study as well as fellowship and refreshments with us. Come study the Gospel of John with specific aim of learning how Jesus himself responded to skeptics. We live in an age and culture of skeptics – so did Jesus! What did He say to them? Come learn with us! Childcare available — please contact a facilitator prior to Thursday morning.


Compassionate Caregivers  (usually the 4th Thursday)
10:30-11:30 am – WS North Library – Room 6 (615 Wright Ave-Richland)

The Compassionate Caregivers Support Group meets for fellowship and education. If you are the full-time caregiver of a loved one or the relative of a loved one with Alzheimer’s or other Dementia OR if you care for a loved one with a chronic, debilitating disease and you need “a break” from the chores and care you provide them, then this group is for you! This group serves as a safe place to learn and share your thoughts and feelings with others.


Men’s Breakfast Bible Study
7:30-9:00 am – WS North Koinonia Café (615 Wright Ave-Richland)
Facilitators: Kip McGilliard & Joe Engel

Come join other men for a time of breakfast, fellowship, Bible study and prayer. We will continue our study of the Gospel of Luke beginning with Luke 13 in Fall 2018. Our emphasis will be on the teachings of Jesus and the dramatic events leading up to Jesus’ death and resurrection for the forgiveness of our sins. Men of all ages are welcome to join us.



Men’s Pure Desire: Breakthrough and Break Free – new members always welcome

Pure Desire is a weekly “for men only” gathering aimed at fellowship and healing for those men struggling with sexual behaviors harmful to social, family, and spiritual well-being.  Questions? Contact the church office for a referral.
