The women of West Side have a strong community, constantly building relationships and growing deeper in faith and love in Christ together. Make sure to check out these great opportunities:
Sundays, 9:45-11:00 am, West Side North Room 2-4 (615 Wright Ave-Richland). We are studying a collection of spiritual lessons learned from 12 women in the Bible and what those lessons mean for us as women today. As we look at each of these women’s lives, we will discover how to apply biblical lessons to our own daily struggles, how to live through our failures as well as our successes, and how to draw nearer to God in a world filled with many trials. The format of this study is much like our one in Spring 2018, but this one will include 12 different women of the Bible (Ruth, Deborah, Esther, Priscilla, et. al.). This fresh look at these Biblical women will help us discover new insights into God’s character and find JOY in the HOPE that JESUS has provided us! We warmly welcome women of all ages to join us! Contact Marian Holm, Diane Pratt, or Colleen Yahyaoui for further information.
2nd Wednesday (September-June), 11:30 am-1:30 pm, West Side North Narthex (615 Wright Ave-Richland). Sarah Circle is a group of West Side women who meet monthly to share lunch and fellowship. Interesting educational programs are presented that support various local, national and international mission causes. Women of all ages are welcome! Please join us for our kick-off salad potluck luncheon on Wed., Sept. 12 – bring your favorite salad to share (remember-no nuts or nut-flavored products including coconut in West Side North).
Sometimes there’s nothing better than a good dessert and snacks with good friends followed by a great movie. That’s what Chick Flicks is all about! Questions? Contact Laura Swanson (509.430.8323) or Debbie Mellinger (509.375.1389).
Women at West Side Church are busy, but they are also creative. Women’s Ministry offers a variety of craft opportunities for women of all ages. Watch for new events as they become available.
Women’s Craft Weekend – Oct. 11-14, 2018: Our annual craft weekend is Thurs.-Sun., Oct. 11-14 at Ingalls Creek Enrichment Center* (near Leavenworth). Ladies: this is a time to get away from the myriad demands of our lives and get some needed fellowship with other women. We will be walking in the woods, sharing meals with each other, visiting quilt shops in the area, offering advice and help with each other’s projects (and maybe even finishing one). The cost of the weekend is still being finalized but will be under $100 for the weekend (Friday and Saturday night lodging). If you want to join us on Thurs., Oct. 11, that will be an additional $30. For more information, please contact Marion Dowell (509.946.1978). *If you haven’t visited Ingalls Creek before, it is a lovely retreat center in the Cascade Mountains, about 20 miles from Leavenworth. Go to www.ingallscreek.org to learn more.
